Ducks Cockney Rhyming Slang

Ducks is cockney rhyming slang for general term of endearment, used amongst friends and strangers alike

💬 “That’ll be £4.39 please ducks

Note from Colonel Sir Harry Paget Flashman: it should be, “ducks”, not “duck”.
Every time I’ve heard its use in person, seen it used in film, theatre, or on the telly, along with reading it in literature, uses the word in the plural, not the singular.
