Chav Cockney Rhyming Slang
Chav is Cockney rhyming slang for person of lower-class, particularly one who lives on benefits
The word chav is used in a derogatory to way to describe a person who fits a wide of stereotypes – one usually out of work, on benefits, uneducated and uncultured, rude, possibly dressing in a certain way (sports clothing), flashy.
